You can choose to use the lovely yarn called for in the pattern or as many of us will be doing, using a Superfine Alpaca Yarn in lighter weight that knits up to look similar.   One 8 oz, 665 yrd skein of this yarn will be needed for the shawl as shown in the pattern.  This makes a should wrap.   Most of us want to make a wider shawl size and so we’ll be needing 2 skeins of that yarn.    Each skein is $21.50 and the yarn is absolutely yummy, soft to the skin, great for a year round shawl.   If you would like to order this yarn, please leave a comment and I’ll respond to you, or email me at divinefibers @ stny.rr.com (leave out the spaces).   I don’t have a lot in stock but I’ll be ordering more soon in a variety of colors… I’ll post available colors on the yarn color page.
