The pdf pattern lists the yarn used for the shawl shown.   If you like that yarn, go with it.  I have been wanting to try a superfine alpaca yarn I got it recently, love it and that’s what I’m going to use.  At the moment I have it available in the colors below, I’ll be adding more.  Superfine Alpaca – 665 yds, 8 0z  -  1 skein will be enough for the shoulder wrap, 2 skeins will be needed for the wider shawl that most of us will be making.   

Divine Alpaca – 100% Superfine Alpaca – spun in Peru. “The Heavenly Fiber” –  grown only between the altitudes of 13,000 & 16,000 feet. Sportweight/dk yarn. Hand wash. All colors occuring naturally, except for the bleached white. No Dyes.
